#MAGE2016

There will be a book signing in Manchester, UK on Aug 13th and we would love to have everyone come out and join us to meet the authors!!

A suspenseful and powerful adult romance 5*+!!

By Caroline on 8 Aug. 2016
All That We Are is a story that kept me clinging on every sentence. Trying to occupy the kids during the school holidays was even more of a task as I found I couldn’t leave this book alone; grabbing at my Kindle in-between busy periods just to read another page or two wherever I could! Needless to say, I LOVED this contemporary, erotic romance.

Told in third person, we follow the lives of two very lonely people who lack confidence in different ways. Although Holly has a day job, friends and runs her own book blog helping to promote authors and their work, her past is a little haunted with bullying she experienced at school. This is something that held Holly back for many years. Meanwhile, Ashton is a hugely successful erotic romance author, hiding behind a pen name while leading an extremely lonely life as he shuts himself from the world in his huge home.

The fun begins when Ashton comes across Holly’s book blog and decides a little further promotion wouldn’t hurt. This opens the door to plenty of e-mail exchanges, professional at first, and it ultimately leads to intense phone conversations as the two characters begin to discover more and more about each other. It becomes so that Holly can’t get Ashton out of her mind, even when her best friend tries to set her up on a blind date!

The reader is just as in suspense as Holly is as each phone call becomes a little more personal, sexier, and even kinky! And, after reading his books, Holly wonders if the eroticism in them is something that Ashton would like himself. Does he long to be a Dom? Her Dom? She doesn’t seem to mind submitting to him in her thoughts. The conversations are playful and fun.

Although there are some mild twists, and a ‘will they, or won’t they’ eventually meet at a book signing event they both hope to attend, I felt that the story grew more and more intense with the idea that they really could face each other. The build-up to the final chapters was tremendously powerful and, as a first insight into Holly J. Gill‘s writing, I certainly want to read more.

It has a great contemporary feel and written in an area that Holly J. Gill knows only too well as she details the communication with authors and bloggers, the writing, promoting, author events, as well as using e-mails and texts within the story. The book also has a welcoming use of the main characters talking on the phone at length and, as they haven’t met, details the hearing of the other’s voice, their pauses, the tones, sighs, etc. The reader almost hears the receiving end of the phone through the author’s writing. The use of the phone also allows Holly and Ashton to sense how truthful the other is being, growing a trust between them.

Another area that All That We Are ‘wowed’ me on is the bullying aspect. Holly clearly still feels the after-effects of being bullied at school. Thus, the lack of confidence she has in herself. Whereas, Ashton has always been popular with the girls, but on an over-whelming scale, and lived isolated from many people partly because of this. It’s superbly written how these two characters build up their trust in each other, their feelings for each other, and ultimately their confidence in themselves and their future.

Despite Holly never wanting to see her school bully again, I would have loved it if they had crossed paths at a time when Ashton would be on her arm, and to see the face of disbelief and jealousy, and Holly walk pass with her head held high – or is that me being too cruel?

Either way, I think you may sense just how All That You Are has touched me emotionally. A very exciting read, and I can’t wait for book 2!

From Pink Pucks & Power Plays - To Love a Wildcat #1
I left the flakes on the floor to answer my door. Vacuuming up fish flakes would have been much more settling for my nerves. Alain Lessard stood on my welcome mat looking like a million and half bucks. The man was working the casual chic look for all it was worth. His jacket was black and clearly YSL. He had tossed the sharp, black jacket over a crisp, white, button-down shirt. The sleeves and neck were unbuttoned. He wore black khakis, softly buffed black, leather boots, and a flash of a gold watch on his left wrist. His hair was damp, his cheeks freshly shaved, and his smile dazzling.
“I am not too late, am I?” he asked when I stood in the doorway like a buffoon. I gently shook my head and moved aside. “Bon!” He hesitated as if unsure until I waved him in. Perhaps my lack of speech was throwing him off. My brain came up with something and then he passed by me, close enough to scrub his arm across my left breast. My nipple stiffened instantly. His cologne was alluring and dark. I inhaled the manly aroma deeply. I adore a man who knows what kind of scent to wear and how much. Closing the door gently, I gathered my scattered wits, blew away the thick mist of desire with a long exhalation through pursed lips then spun around to face my date. He was standing in the middle of my living room, smiling widely as he peered into my kitchen.
“If you’re looking for dinner, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. Someone told me we were going out tonight?” I walked to the sofa to pick up the black shawl I had chosen.
“I have never seen such a purple kitchen. It is very you, Viviana,” Alain said, coming over to lift the dainty bit of shimmering material from my fingers. I turned. He draped, making sure that the back of his fingers skimmed both sides of my neck. Something hot began to uncurl like a cat waking from a nap deep within me. “And yes,” he whispered beside my ear, “We have reservations that we will miss if I do not step away from you and stop admiring your lovely perfume. It is some sort of tropical flower, yes?”
“Yes,” I responded as his warm breath tickled my ear. “It’s called Plumeria Blossom and it’s imported from Hawaii.”
“It’s very pretty. Have you ever been to Hawaii?” he asked, stepping away from me, sadly. His warmth back there was rather nice.

“So, what are we doing today? Cardio? Weights? ” He started walking towards the locker rooms to change. A small jolt of anticipation raced through me imagining him all hot and sweaty, his arms bulging from the exertion of pushing weights. I bit down on my lip trailing my gaze down his muscular back to his firm arse. God, he had a fine backside.
He stopped suddenly and turned sharply causing me to stumble into him. His hands came up quickly and grabbed my arms, holding me firmly and preventing me from an embarrassing and ungainly arse plant on the floor.
“I think I might start swimming again,” he said, his eyes raking over my body.
Good God. The thought of his already athletic body showcased in a pair of speedo’s, with droplets of water dribbling down his lightly tanned chest had my pulse racing and my tongue begging to reach out for a taste.
It was difficult to decide which visual was better—Adam in swimwear, water droplets trickling down his body, raking a hand through his wet hair. Adam in workout gear, sweaty with muscles bulging and veins popping, and his sounds of exertion... Oh God. Or Adam in one of his hotter than sin suits.
“Are you okay, Cass? You’ve gone a bit pale.” A large palm pressed against my cheek and forehead. “You feel a bit clammy.” The hand moved to my neck. “And your pulse is racing.”
Suddenly, I was lifted off my feet, engulfed in strong arms as Adam carried me toward the private staff area.
Yanking myself from x-rated visions of Adam’s aquatic and other adventures, I shrieked, locking my hands behind his neck.
“What are you doing? I’m fine you nut. Put me down.” I laughed twisting my fingers into the overlong strands of his honey-blonde hair.
“I thought you were ill,” he muttered sliding me down his body, my feet still dangling off the floor. Our faces were now only inches apart, intimately close.
Stormy blue eyes met brown and held, the magnetism between them firm, unyielding. Under my touch his shoulders lifted and fell, his lungs sucking in a deep shuddering breath. A large knot of emotion lodged in my throat when I tried to swallow. For the longest moment, we stood mute, our eyes and the deafening silence communicating a barrage of thoughts and questions.
He shifted me in his arms, the movement jostling my chest against his. A shiver of need misted over my bared flesh as goose bumps, my nipples tightening beneath the cotton of my sports bra.
God, what was I doing? I shouldn't be lusting after Adam. He was my friend.
I untangled myself from his hold and dropped my feet to the floor. I took two steps back. “I’m fine,” I mumbled forcing myself to appear unaffected and meet his gaze.
Blinking several times, Adam took a moment to come back from the haze of whatever weird cosmic connection it was we’d just shared. A brief shake of his head and a swipe of fingers through his hair, he too took a step back further breaking the invisible threads that had been pulling us together.

I take slow steps toward her. The room, heated by the sun’s rays, gives a warming glow. I stop behind the couch to remove my jacket, undo my cufflinks, and slowly roll my sleeves up to my elbows. I can hear her breathing, watch her bobbling her head up and down nervously, but she has no reason to be.

I move around the couch to stand before her and look down on her weak, defenseless body. Her breasts luscious and swollen.

I move slowly around to her back, further teasing her. Her body is so beautiful, a size twelve, her bottom perky. I crave to smack that ass and hear her grunt or scream, whichever suits her. I bet she’ll wail wonderfully under my masterful demands. Her bottom tightens making my cock pulse. My breath catches when she turns her head to the side, aware of my location.

I drop to my knees, positioning myself close behind her. I mould her to my chest. I move my nose closer to her shoulder, smelling her fragrance of delicate petals. I inhale a deep breath. God, she smells divine. I move in closer to her shoulder and hear her breath hitch and feel her body still.

I move my mouth to her ear. “Relax…you are the most exquisite female I have ever come across, and you are mine!” My desire clear in my voice. I have to make her see how much I need her. I have to make her understand that somehow she’s grabbed my heart, forcing me into a position of hunger.

I breathe heavy on her neck, luring her into my trap. My beautiful Holly tilts her head to the side, giving me access. Her breath comes out sharp, but I have no choice. I cannot control my burn. I kiss her softly, placing my lips to her shoulder as her mouth opens on a gasp. Inhaling a deep breath, I release it slowly, licking her neck, then follow with a teasing blow. Again she quakes under my touch.

“You are mine. Tell me what you want,” I whisper in her ear watching her chest lift and push her scrumptious boobs out. How I crave to place my hands around her perfectly shaped breasts and add gentle caresses. Her nipples are erect, and I sense her pussy dripping with her tangy juices.

“I want you!” she answers, clearly exasperated.

“To what?” I encourage her, needing her permission.

“To touch me,” she breathes.

“Where?” I wrap my arms around her waist as she jiggles her boobs shining in the sun’s rays. With my cock rock hard, I move closer to her, rubbing my groin on her bottom, wanting her to feel what she has done to me.

I inch closer, pushing my hardened member into the crease of her bottom, our bodies spooning perfectly. Holly gasps as she feels my strain. I wrap my arms around her waist, allowing my hands to rest on her tummy. I really want one hand kneading her breasts and the other tormenting her womanhood.

“All over,” she faintly spoke.

Resting my mouth on her neck, I tenderly kiss her, moving delicately to her ear. I want impact, reaction. I breathe heavy, sending an erotic message to her aroused body. Her skin trembles and goose bumps form. Her lips part under my demand. I start to tease her using my fingertips, touching her around her tummy. “Here?”

“Yes.”

I kiss her neck.

I move my hand up her body between her cleavage and poke. “Here?”

“Yes,” she pants.

I slide my other hand around to her bottom and poke. “Here?”

“Yes.” Her chest stills as her breath catches.

I bring my hands to her upper arms, dancing my fingernails over her skin, manipulating her senses, while her hips gyrate in time to my contact. I inhale her, feel her pulse, her pelvis, aware she’s turned on by her movements and the wetness of her panties.

“Do you crave me, Holly?” I whisper.

“Yes.”

I place my hands on her waist, gliding my fingertips up and down, watching as her breasts heave with each breath. I slide my fingertips toward her womanhood, and her breath ceases. God, I want you Holly! I want to touch her intimate area, but I can’t, not yet, not like this…I have to wait and savor and do what is right for me and her.

Her back arches, thrusting her breasts out. I focus intently on her boobs, eager to fondle, break the rules. I just need to stroke them… No, Dean, no! My mind argues with my body. If only Holly knew how close I am to giving in.

 Excerpt

Holly read through the material, thinking of promotional tac-tics, banners, teasers, etc., one file was full of teasers, brilliant for her to work with and design.

Shocked, she was still trying to figure out why on earth he’d turned to her for help, when he could go massive, go for the larger blogs and networking sites. Her little site was nothing compared to the larger companies he could have chosen. Why the heck did he pick me? Surely he’s after something else!

She popped back to their messages and found a reply.

Before she replied to his original message, she had to ask a question.

 Are you really Dean McClough?

 She watched him typing.

Yes, yes I am, I am the real man himself, the man behind Jordan Hale, mastering and enjoying the female form.

Her jaw dropped. Holy crap! She was starstruck. A large lump filled her throat; unsure how the hell she could continue the conversation without him thinking she was a freak.

 Oh!

 He typed.

 Are you okay?

Yes…I cannot believe I am talking to Dean McClough, have you anything to prove you really are him? Sorry, but I cannot believe it is really him, you are him, my words are messed up…lol.

She hit send not having a clue how he’d react or what he planned to show her to prove he was him.

Okay…just give me one second…would my office and pictures on my wall do the job? Never done this before…lol

 Yes, that is fine…I think!

She waited a few seconds, to see a picture uploading. The picture arrived, and there was his office, laptop, notes, his books, pens, pictures framed on the wall of his front covers, and to finalize, their conversation on his laptop. Stunned, speechless… He was a typical author, notes and research all over the place. She laughed and then sucked in a deep breath, releasing it slowly. She shook her head, going through so many emotions, her tummy tied in knots, not believing a bestseller was on his laptop talking to her. It didn’t make sense.

He typed.

 Was that okay?

Yes, thank you, just shocked that you’re talking to me…why?
