Holy Hotness

Thank you for taking your time to visit me today.

I will confess I'm so totally overwhelmed at the moment and cannot remove the smile from my face, but I have great reason to feel this happy.

Now, I know us authors are told to take a review with a pinch of salt, but this review 'Holy Hotness' means the world to me as this is the first novel I have written without a co-author. Anxious to go alone, I had much to consider when dropping my co-author, afraid I would mess up, afraid I couldn't do a book without someone guiding me, however, with the amazing staff at Secret Cravings and my wonderful editor, I achieved my first alone published works Dan's Desires, book 5 in the Desires series.

The review from Amazon

Holy Hotness

To be honest, the only the only thing I didn't like was some of the slang differences from over the pond. There were times when I had to look up a phrase or two because I didn't understand it. I only recently have broadened my horizons to across the way, so I don't understand 100% of the lingo. That's by no means the fault of any author. This book was hot and steamy without losing the story line of love and fighting for it.
Dan got talked into being a male escort while in college. He thought, why not? I love sex and I can get paid for it. What more could a horny young man ask for. He had lost all illusions of love in college. He thought he was in love and decided to cut all the other women out of his life. However his girlfriend didn't feel the same way. It left Dan crushed and he totally cut of all of his feelings off. When his first escort job recommends Desire's, he's not sure if it's something he could do. He does research on the place and feels Desire's will put him in a better position than escorting. He still has that carefree feeling with sex and no love. He even starts sleeping with the boss. Angel is very commanding and not always is her style of sex his cup of tea. Angel starts sending him the less attractive clientele but he's so wrapped up in his own world he doesn't feel the warning bells like he should.
Then SHE walks into his life. Stacie Clifford. She's beautiful in every sense of the word and for once he can't just lay with her and go. That's not why she's at Desire's. Just ending an abusive marriage, Stacie needs so much more than a tussle in the sheets. She needs to meet her femininity again, get to know herself, and get her confidence back. She can't even look Dan in the eye when they first meet. He knows that he has to go slow with her and it's the ultimate torture. The more sessions that she books with him, the more he realizes that she has made him a man and despite his contract, he's falling in love. He knows to have Stacie he'll have to leave Desire's. But little does he know that Angel has other plans and will not let him go without a fight.

The blurb
Dan, a devious, hot, sincere young man, preys on women like a vulture. He takes up escorting before entering a world of sexual fantasy in a club called Desires, being paid to have sex. He loves being a naughty boy without conviction, even having sex with the boss, using any means to have his wicked way.
Then he meets a new client, Stacie Clifford. He needs to drop the boy act and become a man, yet remember the club’s emotional contract. He makes it his responsibility to protect Stacie from Angel the boss of the club. He’s in love.
He has almost everything: a wife, son and a baby on the way, ownership of Desires, yet something is missing from his life, Sapphire his daughter. Unable to move on, feeling destroyed, his marriage is uneasy. Day after day he fights his heartache, wanting to be happy and be Dan, the man he once was. Will Dan ever be complete again? What will it take to get him there?

Excerpt
Hot! Seductive. Dan the man, at his best!

“Right, here we go,” Shannon said, knocking on the door and then entered. Dan entered the office and his eyes widened at the room’s surprisingly masculine decor. Dark panelling covered all the walls, illuminated by several small lights placed strategically throughout the room. A large, old, oak desk dominated the space, sitting against the far wall. The only nod to femininity was several vanilla candles, which scented the room with their subtle fragrance. The office was immaculate.
The desk held only a phone and a laptop. Behind it was a large leather swivel chair. He stood admiring the office when suddenly a dominating looking woman appeared—young, slim, twenty-something, with a shimmering sheet of black hair rippling down her back. She wore a formal business suit, and black-framed glasses perched on her finely-shaped nose, but even in the severe attire, she was stunning. She was tall and her height was further enhanced by her towering platform heels. This woman was the epitome of confidence.
“Sorry about that,” she said.
Dan couldn’t believe the building was littered with sexy women. He hoped there were men somewhere, but then the thought of it only being him turned him on.
He noticed Angel looking up and down at him, wondering if she was noticing his young boyish-charm.
“Please take a seat,” she said and made her way around to the other side of the desk.
The interview started and Angel put him on the spot and asking him about his opinion on varied topics, making him aware some guests wanted conversation as well as sex and someone who was more than just a him-bo—all brawn and no brains—would be an asset.
However, the sex was also important, so the conversation soon veered. “So tell me…what are your main talents?” she’d asked, as he watched her licking her lips seductively, leaning forward and staring into his eyes.
“I know how to please a woman and make her feel special,” he said, sitting comfortably on the leather sofa.
“And how would you make a woman feel special?” she asked, standing up and walking around the desk. His eyes were fully focused on her.
“I tell them what they want to hear,” he said, his voice calm.
“Show me,” she said. She rested her buttocks on the desk and waited.
Dan stood and approached Angel, maintaining eye contact. He moved closer to her. He stood before her, his legs touching hers. He leaned forward, blowing his breath over her face aware how much women liked it. His cock pulsed.
He moved to her right ear and whispered, “You are the most beautiful, most desirable woman I think I have ever seen. Your hair is perfection, your lips divine, and your body exquisite.” He dropped a kiss on her cheek. She released a sweet gasp. His lips pressed against the earlobe. “Your voice makes me want to fall to my knees and howl at the moon while I worship the perfection that is you.” Dan gripped the lobe with his teeth and licked before releasing it. His hands went to her waist and he noticed her closing her eyes at his touch. “If I could make love to you, and only you, for the rest of my life, I would desire nothing else till I die.” His thumbs stroked her waist and she drew in a shuddering breath.
Angel gazed into his eyes. “Um…wow, great…um,” she said, wriggling out from his hold and shooting around to the other side of her desk. “Right, well…I will give you a little trial…see how you connect with the clients and well…yes,” she said, as he heard stuttering in her breathing, wishing she would come back so he could truly entertain her.
“I need you to sign this contract…all workers sign it. It states you will have no emotional involvement with any of the clients,” she said, as he watched her digging in her drawer and passing a copy of the contract across the desk.
He took the pen and signed it without reading it. “You trust me?” she said.
Dan met her surprised gaze. “Why shouldn’t I? I am simply here to earn some extra cash and do something I enjoy. I have no intention of getting emotionally involved with anyone,” he said, passing the contract back across the desk.

Goodbye 2014

Here we are, saying goodbye to another year and opening up a new one. I had a truly wonderful year last year with two book being published by Secret Cravings Publishing with book 4 and 5 in the Desires series.

Embracing Desires, book 4

Dan and Stacie are preparing for the biggest day of their lives and everything is perfect. Stacie has her Hen night; Dan his stag night – both in Desires. Angel is being the wonderful host, but all is not what it seems. Five days before the wedding Dan and Stacie find themselves, devastated and destroyed, and on the brink of separation. Stacie feels that her life is falling apart. She cannot breathe or think because of the agony of losing Dan, the man she thought she could trust and spend the rest of her life with. Her world has been shattered. But Dan wants her back. Stacie longs to embrace what is important in her life. When she finds out the truth of what happened will it be too late to save the biggest embrace of all?
Now as Dan is cooking the families new years day dinner, as he's one hell of an astonishing cook, his favourite meal to cook, is a Sunday Roast, beef, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and plenty of vegetables and gravy made from the meat juices. And for pudding Stacie loves treacle sponge with custard, and Dan will work his magic!

Dan's Desires, book 5

I have to say, It's been one heck of an amazing year, not only have I been unfortunate enough to have two books released with Secret Cravings Publishing with Embracing Desires book 4 and Dan's Desires book 5 in the Desires series all available for download and in print now!

I often get asked what was the reason behind writing Desires, and too be honest it was a book I wrote with my dirty mind, I wanted to write about fun, filled hard erotic sex, and how amazing it would be for couples off all sexualities to visit a special club, where no care for what you sexuality is, and your desires would be fulfilled and boy, did my imagination take over.

I admit I've learned so much from writing Desires and how the sex was repetitive at times, and how Dan McVeigh had many "hard" times, but the truth was I never intended to enjoy writing about Dan as much as I did, my initial idea was just to make him a gigolo, sex worker, and not really care about anything but himself, only his character took hold and I ended up finding myself trapped in his sweetness, adorability and discovering the real man he is!

Desires was written from Stacie Cliffords POV  with the intensions to gain her confidence and be the person who she deserved to be, not only does she discover herself, but discovers the true meaning of being wanted, cherished, and protected. Then after writing all Stacie's books, I decided to allow Dan to take over and help me write his, which is out now, book 5.

I have enjoyed my wonderful journey with Desires and learned so much and I'd sincerely from the bottom of my heart, like to thank all the team, authors and readers at Secret Cravings Publishing for giving me the dream I had always dreamed about since being a young girl. And thank you for bringing my characters to life, I would also like to thank everyone who has been involved in the five books, Nikki Blaise, Isobelle Cate, and Colleen you guys rock! And my fans, thank you so, so much.

I've recently become a nana for the first time this month, the best gift ever from my daughter and her fiancé on the 9th, and I have to say, it's one of those moments that I will treasure forever in my heart. Not only have me and my family been gifted not with one baby but two, my daughter had twins and boy Jacob Luke and a girl Thea Louise. They were born premature and had to go into special baby care unit where they were so well looked after and my daughter and her fiancé took to parenthood with a breeze.

I'm speechless to the little people who have come into my life unconditionally and I will love them with all my heart. I have mentioned that they will not be spoilt children in gifts, but our love and that is the best gift you can ever offer.

Jacob and Thea

Life if just full of the most precious gifts.
And today both my beautiful grandbabies are home, what more could I have asked for this Christmas?

To win a copy of any Desires book please answer me what are you blessed with this Christmas?
Please remember to leave your e-mail address :)

Headfirst into Home

By: Jennifer Simpkins

Blurb:

Coming off of a divorce, Rachel Young’s focus is on moving forward and making a life for her and her daughter. When ex-baseball hottie, Ty Robinson, waltzes back into her life, tempting her with his kisses, forming a bond with her daughter, and making promises for their future, she willingly gives him her heart.

Ty has harbored a deep desire for small town beauty, Rachel, for the past ten years. Fate dropped her in his path when they were teenagers, leading to one magical night. Following an injury, he has come home, determined to prove to Rachel he is home for good.

After a life changing phone call, Ty is faced with taking another opportunity at playing the game he’s always loved and the woman and child that have stolen his heart. In the end, is he capable of giving Rachel what she needs—a sense of home and most importantly, honesty?

Excerpt:

With all the laughter and cracking of the billiard balls, Rachel was amazed she’d even heard the bell ding above the entrance door, either announcing or saying good-bye to a customer. People were coming in, while others were making it an early night and heading home. This was one of those rare nights where she didn’t have to be home at a certain time. Her mom responsibilities were put on hold for the next twelve hours. Her daughter was safe and happy, and Rachel was set on having a good time.

She saw him first.

If she was smart she would’ve sank down in the booth, trying to make herself unnoticeable or give him the hint she still wasn’t interested in talking. It was the same way she treated him after…well, after the night that changed her life. She was still on the fence as to if that change was a good thing…or a very bad thing.

Turns out she wasn’t smart. At least not when sinfully, sexy Ty Robinson stood just feet away from where she sat. Smart and Ty never had gone hand in hand with her. He clouded her judgment—always had. She sat up straight, almost announcing herself to him, begging him to waltz in her direction.

His warm gaze locked on her instantly. Was he surprised to see her? She couldn’t tell. But from what she could tell by his wide grin, flashing pearly whites, he didn’t look unpleasant at the sight of her. That was a good sign.

“Mmm…” God, did she just sigh out loud. No, it wasn’t fair he still could turn her brain to mush. How was that even possible?

“What’s that?” Morgan asked, her eyes narrowed. “What’s wrong with you? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

No, it wasn’t a ghost, not by a long shot. She would have been a lot safer if the man standing just feet away from her, looking like the hottest thing ever to grace The Eight Ball, was paranormal. A fitted gray T-shirt stretched over a formed chest, revealing muscular—but not overwhelming—tanned arms. Was it possible he’d grown taller since the last time she’d seen him? He had to be at least six feet plus inches. Long legs filled the luckiest faded pair of blue jeans. And here she thought seeing him on television, under the blazing sun, perspiration forming above his brow, and with an intense expression as he sized up his opponent in the batter’s box was enough to get her juices flowing. Watching his baseball games were entertaining, but didn’t come close to seeing him up close.

Rachel couldn’t will herself to look away. “I can’t believe he’s back. Why is he here?” Ty’s sister, Stacey, one of her best friends, never said anything about her twin brother coming back to town. At least not to Rachel, she didn’t. Could it have been Stacey didn’t even know? “I wonder if Stacey has seen him yet.” Another thought came to mind. It was enough to turn her attention back on Morgan. “How do I look?”

“You look like you always do. Why is who back? And what does it have to do with Stacey? I’m sorry, Rach, but you’re not making a lick of sense.”

Rachel fiddled with the paper napkin under her glass of wine, too afraid to look up again. “Ty. Ty Robinson just walked in.”

Before Rachel could tell her friend not to make it obvious they were talking about him by whipping her head around, Morgan was already turned completely around in the booth, eyes fixated on Ty. “Oh. My. God. It’s really him, isn’t it?”

Isn’t that what she had just said? “Morgan,” Rachel said through clenched teeth. “He’s looking right at us. Can you please turn your ass back around? Geez!”

“What do you think this means?” Morgan asked, once again facing forward. “I think he retired the end of last season. I think I heard it was some kind of arm injury. Do you think he’s back for good?”

Opening Day, something she only knew because it was considered a holiday in Lincoln Springs, was a little over three weeks ago. And since he was in Lincoln Springs and not playing under the big lights, it was safe to say the rumors of Ty retiring after only playing six years in the Major Leagues was true.

“I’m not sure what it all means.”

“Well, it’s not like he hasn’t been back in the past ten years. He used to visit once a year.”

This time felt different. In the past ten years Rachel had only seen glimpses of Ty around town when he would come to visit his family. She had stayed away, never even offering a hello to him, because of her marriage to James. As far as she knew he hadn’t been in town in the last three years.

The already loud bar got even louder as everyone figured out the biggest thing to come out of Lincoln Springs had returned. A lot of hellos were given, a lot more slaps on the back…and of course women appeared out of every corner like cockroaches, swarming around him.

Rachel casually sipped her wine, peeking over the rim of the glass to catch another eyeful of an all grown-up Ty Robinson. In the past couple years she’d caught a few of his games. Because he played on the West Coast, the games were always on late. Sometimes after she’d put Brooklyn to bed and had a few minutes to sit back and relax, she would turn on a California Wolverines game. She wasn’t always sure what exactly was happening on the ball field, but…God, the things that man could do to her. She didn’t have to understand all the ins and outs of baseball to appreciate the sight of him in a pair of uniform pants.

Leisurely walking through the crowd of people, shaking hands with guys he’d grown up with, smiling at all the pretty girls who fluttered their eyelashes at him, Rachel watched him make his way toward the booth she and Morgan shared.

“Don’t look,” Rachel said. She felt it was important to remind Morgan of that right off the bat. What was up with her and baseball terms tonight? “He’s coming over here.”

Jennifer has always been an avid reader, but it wasn't until she became a stay-at-home mom did she start to read romance. Her passion of reading romance turned into another passion she had as a child—writing. One late night of writing about sexy heroes and strong-willed heroines turned into two nights, until seven months later she had written her first novel.

She lives in a small, North Carolina town with her supportive husband (whose dream is to be on the cover of one of her books), a beautiful daughter, and two dogs who can’t seem to get along. If she's not writing you can find her reading, hanging out with her family, or cheering on the New York Yankees.

Christmas tunes

It's almost Christmas!

Well, I cannot believe we'll be celebrating Christmas, being with our loved ones and sharing some spectacular time together. I love Christmas, at least I do when not working it, so as a family we have to make other arrangements, regardless this year I'll have the family together on Boxing day, but just being with them and sharing quality time together, will be the best gift.

Now, I enjoy about Christmas and hearing Christmas tunes, and listening to carol singers, it always gets me into the spirit.

So here I am sharing with you my favourite tunes.

What are you favourite tunes? Or what gets you in the mood?
