Author Spotlight is V.L. Locey with her latest new release 'Game Misconduct'

I am so delighted this lady has dropped by for tea and a cream cake showing of her new release 'Game Misconduct' give a warm welcome to V.L. Locey.

4 Flame M/M Erotic Hockey Romance
Blurb:

This book is a sequel to Two Man Advantage
Life has been treating Victor Kalinski well, which is a surprise for the ginger-haired forward with the venomous tongue. His career is somewhat stable, at least for another season. His relationship with Cougars alternate captain Dan Arou is deepening, despite the fact that Daniel has yet to come out of the closet.

It’s typical Kalinski luck when a puck bunny he shared a drunken night with several months ago slaps him with a paternity suit. Despite the sizzling passion and painfully heartfelt connection between them, Dan doesn’t take the news well, and heads back to Canada alone.
If he wants to make things right and win back the man he loves, he has no choice but to swallow his pride—and nobody’s prouder than hot-headed, ego-driven Victor.

Reader Advisory: This story has graphic sexual language and scenes—no closed bedroom doors (or other rooms) here!

An adult male/male romance from Ellora’s Cave
Excerpts

PG-13 --
I found Dan in our bathroom running a Q-tip around his right ear as water from his recent shower ran from his hair. He smiled at me, a special kind of light in his eyes. I stalled in the doorway, my summons wrinkled in my fist. The smile disappeared from his face as I stared blankly at him. He tossed the swab into the trash, which needed to be dumped, and turned to face me.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. My gaze roamed over him clad in nothing but gray cargo shorts that hung off his hips. If not for the fact that my heart was beating so hard I was scared it would blow up, I would have gotten all over the man. He still torqued me up like no one else ever had. “Vic, what’s wrong?”
I handed him the wadded-up legal document. His gaze darted from my face to the crinkled papers then back to my face.

“I don’t know who the fuck this chick is, but she is playing me,” I managed to cough up. I looked around the room, trying to get the palpations under control. The walls had ugly flowered wallpaper on them. The counter was plain white. Two razors lay side by side next to the sink. Sometimes, like right then, I wanted nothing more than to grab my razor and my toothbrush and get the fuck out of Dodge. Just seeing Dan’s personal shit playing cozy-cozy with mine scared me to death. Most days when that urge to fuck this thing up overtook me, I swallowed it down like a bad oyster and forced myself to get past it. Today, then, there, that second, those two razors were about to push old Vic K. over the brink.
“Paternity test,” he whispered as the papers blew in a stiff summer wind. I couldn’t look away from those two disposables.

“Someone is playing me, Dan,” I grunted, then spun from the Schick love-fest occurring on the chipped white bathroom counter. I pounded out to the living room, my feet squelching in my wet sneakers.
“Well yeah, obviously this Heather chick is trying to pin this on you. Big-name sports star. It happens like daily, you know?”

I nodded as I paced the small but homey place where we spent most of our downtime, aside from the bedroom. I jammed my fist into my other hand and began grinding as I circled the sofa.
“Yeah, but why me and why now? Why not do this when I was pulling in the big bucks in Beantown?”

Dan dropped onto the couch and put his bare feet on the edge of the coffee table. As I paced, he flattened out the summons on his thick thighs and read. My gut was in turmoil. My head felt light. My heart still thundered in my ribs. A kid. My kid. I barely made it back to the bathroom. I threw up the fancy lunch that we had eaten at the golf club earlier. Dan didn’t come in, which was wise. I don’t like people fawning over me when I’m sick. Dear old Mom never did. I could handle myself. Been doing it since I was about five. I’d had a head cold the month before and nearly ripped Dan into bits one day for making me chicken noodle soup. Why that man was still with me, I do not know. I retched a few times, then slammed the lid and flushed. Over to the sink for a swig of mouthwash. Do not look at the razors, Kalinski, or you will make a bigger twat out of yourself.
“You okay?” Dan called.

“Yeah, just some ptomaine from the clam chowder at lunch,” I replied, my throat and nose still burning. “I’m taking a shower.”
“Okay. I’ll read this over close while you wash.”

The shower didn’t last long enough, nor did it help one damn bit. Aside from having nuts that smelled like an Irish glen, I was still this close to hyperventilating. A kid. Holy fucking goat titties, I needed a drink.
“Hey, you need to call a lawyer in the morning,” Dan said when I shuffled into the living room in nothing but an old pair of cutoff jeans. “This paperwork is crazy legal, but according to what this Hillary—”

“Heather. Heather Pavlick. Who the fuck is Heather Pavlick?” I asked the kitchen table.
I jerked open the cupboard under the sink and reached for the bottle of Yukon Jack, one of three or four bottles of booze we had on hand for cocktails at night if the mood struck. Dan kind of liked Jack over ice. Did I want ice? Did I want a glass? Nah. The whiskey burned my raw throat like gasoline. I lowered the bottle, coughed, and ran the back of my hand across my tingling lips. I saw Dan appear in the doorway, papers still in his hand. He looked upset.

“I wish you’d use a glass,” he grumbled, then stalked around me to get two tumblers from the cupboard next to the fridge. I sucked in some air through my teeth in reply. His whole body twitched at the sound. “Two fingers, and stop making that fucking noise,” he said after he returned to my side. I glugged some Jack into both tumblers, my eyes on Dan’s. He handed me a glass. We both knocked the whiskey back then went out to the couch, him with my summons and me with the Jack.
“Okay, so this is obviously some sort of rip-off,” Dan said after we’d dropped our asses back to the sofa. Thankfully he’d left the boob tube off. I was so not in the mood to talk over his science shows. I poured myself another two fingers. Dan held up his glass, so I refreshed him. “Heather Pavlick. Is that the girl you were serious with?”

I shook my head as I swirled the Canadian whiskey around my glass. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert’s voices, as well as the smell of meat grilling, rolled in through the windows.
“No, her name was Gina. We were careful. I mean, we were obsessively careful every time we fucked to prevent any kind of kid-making.” A kid. I couldn’t get the glass of whiskey to my lips fast enough. Ah, what a nice burn.

“This is why you should just identify as gay and be done with it. You don’t have to worry about knocking me up.”
“Yeah well, if I could just pick my sexual identity like I do my socks, I would. But I kind of like pussy once in a while. Stop badgering me, gay boy.”

“That’s just weird,” Dan muttered, and sipped his Jack.
I nodded. Yeah, to a gay dude, wanting pussy probably did seem weird. And while I didn’t crave it anymore because, yeah, Dan Arou, back in the day I’d taken some great delight in leaping from twat to cock with wild abandon.

“Maybe you can talk to someone in the team’s legal department. I mean, this will come out. They’ll want to know about it beforehand so they can handle the bad PR.”
“Fuck. My. Life.” I dumped more of the amber liquid into my glass. My stomach rolled and bucked as whiskey met empty gut. Whatever the landlord was cooking was making me queasy.

“This is just fucked,” Dan said after a long moment of silence punctuated only by my stomach speaking up. “See, this paper says ‘unborn child’, and that’s impossible. You and me have been tight since Thanksgiving of last year. That’s nine months, right? November to July is nine.”
“If you count November.”

Christ on a unicycle. Dan and I really been doing the monogamy thing for nine months. I mean, I knew that we had, but hearing him say it out loud drove the point home. No wonder those razors made me twitchy. That was fucking incredible. Even with Gina, I’d bailed at six months. That had been the most solid relationship I’d ever been in before Mr. Stumpy and I had hooked up. Someone call Guinness. We got a new world record here. I threw another two fingers of Yukon down. Dan made a noise about the speed of my ingestion, I assume, which I ignored.
A moment ticked by. Two. Three. Dan sipped and repeatedly read that summons, counting and recounting the months. This was major fuckery, because there had been no one but Dan since the first time I’d punched him in the face.

My gaze rested on the Xbox under the flat screen. Our games were scattered on the floor. I tipped my head to stare at the artwork on a World War I battle game that Dan and I liked. It showed a German zeppelin dropping bombs on some European city…
It hit me like a semi that had lost its brakes. Ms. Goodyear. That blonde with the incredible tits. I’d rolled her the night I’d tried to drink Dan away. Had her name been Heather? Had she said? Did it matter? Guess so.

“Ah, fuck,” I moaned, then closed my eyes.
“What? Did you figure out who this woman is?”

Shit. Just shit. This was going to be bad. I inhaled through my nose, blew out the breath and started sucking on that Jack bottle like a hungry babe. Dan jerked it from my hand. Whiskey sloshed down my chest. I swallowed what was in my mouth, licked my lips and turned to find Dan looking at me with concern tinting his lapis eyes.
This was going to suck.

R-
So yeah, there are times when having someone know you well has great bennies. For instance, the moment I sat down beside Arou the evening after the golf tournament, he knew I wanted him. Must have been that he could read my eyes or facial expression. It freaked me out at times. We had been together for something like nine months. No man-fuck thing had ever gone past three months. Gina and I had limped along to six months. This thing was Dan was the longest thing I’d ever been in.

Chicks seemed to hang in longer. Maybe women just have more patience, or maybe it’s because they think they can change a dude. They can’t, but bless their hearts, they sure do try. Perhaps they’re just willing to work harder at making it succeed. Gina sure was. She tried. No blame for that failure rested on her shoulders. I’d fucked people left and right behind her back and she’d finally had enough of it. Smart girl. I lived in constant fear of Dan waking up to discover the mistake he’d made. If he walked, it would cripple me in ways that Satan would envy.
Dan tossed the remote onto the coffee table, then pulled his golf shirt over his head. The landlady’s dog, Mansfield, was out in the backyard barking at something. Wind, probably, or a squirrel farting. Mutt yapped at everything except strangers. Those, he bounced up to with a wagging tail. Pick of the litter, that one.

“Shuck off the shorts.” My gaze roamed over his compact upper body. Olive-skinned and strong, covered with black hair, his chest rose and fell with increasing speed as he unzipped and kicked off his shorts and underwear. I moved closer. Dan tensed in anticipation. I took his stiff prick in my right hand. His eyes closed then slowly reopened, lapis-blue gems lighting up with passion. I stroked him softly. My left arm lay over the back of the sofa. Dan reached for me,  pulled my mouth to his, but I pulled back slightly, just enough to keep my nose in contact with his.
“Kiss me,” he growled. I shook my head and squeezed his cock. He winced slightly but his hips flexed upward. He smelled good. Better than good; fabulous, hot and ready for sex. Pheromones pumped out of his sweaty skin, filling my nostrils with his scent. It was unique. It was Dan. Just smelling him on the sheets made me hard. No other man or woman has ever had that effect on me. It still terrified the living shit out of me. “Vic,” he moaned.

“I want to watch you,” I whispered over his slightly parted lips. The corners of his mouth, that wet hot mouth, tweaked upward.
“Yeah, watch me come,” he murmured thickly. I released his cock and raised my hand. He spat in it. I jerked at the contact of his warm spit, then wrapped my fingers around his fat cock.

Excerpt 1

The last vestiges of summer

Second Chance, Pennsylvania

Water cascaded off her nude body. Small rivulets ran over her breasts and down her slightly rounded stomach, disappearing into the surface of the lake.

She was one with the water.

She could, literally, become one with it.

Moonlight reflected off the mirror-smooth surface, adding a soft glow to the night. Crickets serenaded her with their chirping song. A wolf howled in the distance. Nature cocooned her.

She grinned and dove under. Liquid embraced her, still heated from the sun’s rays of earlier in the day. Her body became insubstantial, fragmenting into molecules of H2O. Disorientation left her bewildered, but the feeling came and went. Weightless warmth enveloped her, and the ebb and flow of the tide lulled her into blissful relaxation.

The moon slid across the sky. Hours had passed. Her body became corporeal with a single thought. After regaining her human form, she cut through the water with powerful strokes and rose to the surface in a rush of bubbles.

The night air chilled her damp skin, raising goose pimples along her flesh. She pushed the long fall of golden blonde tresses from her face and glanced into the deep, lush woods that ringed the lake. Soon the leaves would change to shades of gold, orange, red, and brown. In would come the autumnal chill. Her time in the waters would decrease, and then winter would set in and freeze her out.

When that happened, she’d resort to the swimming pool located on the basement level of her large log home. Even with the greenery she had sprinkled about, it never fully replaced the exhilaration of the lake, the feel of fresh air against her skin, and the scent of the wilderness.

She repeated the cycle, year after year. The monotony had long since worn short on her nerves.

At one time, she’d had someone to break the mundane tones of her life.

But she had ruined that.

He hadn’t understood the need, the drive, to be one with the water.

She had allowed it to build a wall between them.

But how could he have understood? Hell, she’d have trouble believing the truth, if it wasn’t her life.

The root of their problems had been otherworldly, as her father was human and her mother was a water nymph.

The nymph side of her heritage presented two problems. First, she needed daily contact with a body of water. Like her pool in the basement. Second, she also needed a daily dose of sex. Preferably more than once a day. After all, the term “nymphomaniac” had been born of a nymph’s sex drive.

No, he had never known the truth of her desires.

She had pushed him away, afraid of exposing her real self.

And that fear, that uncertainty, had left her alone…and needy.

Excerpt 2

Coop thanked Smythe as he spun toward the bank of elevators. He pressed the “up” button and waited for the car to descend. The stainless steel doors opened with a bing. Stepping through the threshold, he hit the button for the third floor. He checked his reflection in the mirrored panels gracing the walls. The ride seemed to take longer than normal, which annoyed the hell out of him. His foot tapped impatiently on the carpeted floor.

The doors opened again, and Coop darted from the car to the judge’s chambers. His long, ground-eating strides took him to his destination in under a minute.

Coop didn’t bother to knock. He simply swung the door open and strode into the room. Sitting behind a large, ornately carved desk was Judge Hawker. Her gray hair haloed her head in a tidy mass of curls. Lines deeply etched her haggard face, affirming she was a kick-ass bitch.

She tapped her pen on her ink blotter. “So nice of you to join us, Mr. Martin.” Her voice cracked like an old Victrola record player.

Coop’s gaze fell upon the female occupant sitting in one of two black leather armchairs. Long, golden-blonde hair cascaded over the back, beckoning for him to run his fingers through the silken stands.

Anger, both at his reaction to seeing her and the fact she was there in the first place, rose up like a leviathan from the deep. The muscles in his jaw tightened, and his lips formed a thin line.

He walked in front of the woman. “Naida,” he greeted, through clenched teeth.

Coop stared at her beautiful face. Naida’s kissable, full lips formed a soft, forced smile that her large, doe-shaped brown eyes didn’t reflect. A form-fitting, cream-colored sweater hugged her breasts and torso, doing little to hide her lithe figure. Her hands rested in her lap. Long, jean-clad legs crossed at the ankle. The brown of her high-end leather satchel matched her well-worn hiking boots.

“Cooper,” she replied.

He inhaled sharply through his nose, never breaking eye contact with her, and enunciated each of the words that followed very clearly, “Do. Not. Call. Me. Cooper.”

* * * *

Naida hadn’t meant to say it so sarcastically. It had just slipped out. A defense mechanism. A way to cover the instantaneous hurt that had rocketed like a missile to her heart.

The other option had been picking her jaw off the ground. She hadn’t expected Coop to walk through the door.

His stiff-shouldered stance emanated anger. And rightfully so.

He had been wronged.

By Naida herself.

She ripped her gaze away from Coop and turned toward the bitch who had set her—no, us—up.

Judge Hawker grinned, exposing age-worn teeth. The pack of cigarettes she smoked a day did little to detract from the look. “Do you have something to say, Miss Bouche?” Her voice grated Naida’s nerves and reminded her of gravel scraping over an asphalt road. The hag had the nerve to broaden her smile.

Naida rose from the armchair with fists clenched at her sides, nails biting into the flesh of her palms. “Why is he here?”

“Why are you here?” he retorted, his steel-gray eyes darting from one female to the other and shooting daggers at same time. He shrugged out of his jacket and tossed it onto the empty armchair.

One of those daggers pierced Naida’s heart, which thudded hard against her breastbone. How she hated Coop looking at her with such disdain. But she had brought it on herself.

Three years ago, she had filed for divorce from Coop with no explanation why. Just up and went to an attorney. Had he done anything wrong? No. Had he begged and pleaded for an explanation? Yes.

She had merely shrugged her shoulders and walked away.

That action had taken her away from the one man, the one human, she’d ever loved.

I'm a writer of sexy romances with a kick of heat! Though my contracted stories are paranormals, I haven't discounted writing a contemporary or two.

I live in Pennsylvania just a hair shy of the Maryland border. I live with a family I adore which includes two furry feline children and a furry canine daughter.

In my spare time, I'm more than likely watching television. I watch Bones, Blue Bloods, NCIS:New Orleans, or some sort of car show like Wheeler Dealers.

I'm a huge sports fan, football in particular. During the fall/winter, I'm watching Notre Dame or Penn State on Saturdays and the Saints or Colts on Sunday.

I've been known to have my nose buried in a book. Nora Roberts/JD Robb and Clive Cussler are favorites of mine. I know, I know...Clive Cussler isn't a romance author. The man can weave a tale of adventure like no other!

Interview With A Master by Jason Luke

4.5 Stars and Review For
Interview with a Master

“It's the interview like no other.
It's the interview of a lifetime.
It's THE Interview with a Master!’

I am going to be honest I had seen this author and book appear in my facebook news feed for quite a while and added it a while ago to be read. I debated to read the story and left it. Then I came back to it and wow, what a truly magnificent read. I was left totally gobsmacked by the end and I will admit broke my heart and shared a few tears. Once I started reading this book I just couldn’t stop and had to carry on until the very end.

Leticia is a freelance journalist and gets an interview with the BDSM Master Jonah Noble, the interview consists of him sharing his past as a master and where it all started and the life lifestyle he became accustomed too. He talked about how he learned the art, how to appreciate a woman and his opinions which are very invigorating to the reader. He explains his story about the woman who have been in his life and left

"Every woman who is aroused by submission is also aroused by an alpha male who can tame her. These women aren’t looking for a husband in the bedroom who will make them feel safe and loved.

These women are looking for a man who is strong enough to conquer them. That way the woman can still feel vibrant and independent… but also feel comfortable submitting to their lover. That’s the turn-on for women. They don’t want to be submissives… they want to feel like they can’t resist submitting." Jonah Noble

The setting and vision were well written feeling as though I was there in the rooms throughout the book.  What I loved more was the connection and witnessing a romance growing between Jonah and Leticia.

Will I recommend this book? Hell yeah! It’s a fascinating read and I will continue with the sequels. I have found a new author I will stalk. This book will be on one of my favourite lists! Thank you Jason Luke!

Excerpt:

“When’s that birthday of yours, love?”

She frowned. “July twenty-fifth. Why?” Was he planning on getting her a present?

He nodded, making a masculine sound in his throat. “I’d like to get my lips on you before then, lassie.”

Appalled, she turned and scowled at him. “And that is how you ask? I’d like a lot of things, Frank, mostly, to meet a man who knows how to ask a woman for favors. And if that is why you’re waitin’ for my birthday you can just forget it. I’m saving myself for marriage.”

Every trace of cockiness fled his face as her words sank in. Oh Christ. She wasn’t necessarily saving shit, but it pissed her off that he’d assume the calendar was all that was holding him up from gettin’ into her knickers.

“I wasn’t… I hadn’t meant to insinuate—”

“Don’t try backtracking now. I know what you meant.” It was like her mouth had disconnected from her brain and there was no stopping her words.

Like a runaway train, she’d unleashed on him. “You think I have nothin’ better to do than wait around so you can legally take my virginity? You can think again, Mr. McCullough. I have standards and they aren’t the sort that crumble for some blue eyed, silver-tongued Irishman wantin’ to put his lips on me. I’ll be expectin’ a gentleman, next time I see you, if your lips will be getting’ anywhere near me—”

His mouth was suddenly crushing hers as he pulled her halfway across the seat and cut off her words. She’d never been kissed before, at least not like that. His hand cupped the back of her head as his mouth slanted and his tongue pressed deep, teasing and awakening parts of her she’d rather ignore. Her eyes held wide as his other hand fit around her thigh and massaged through the fabric of her skirt.

“You talk entirely too much, Maureen O’Leahey,” he whispered against her lips. “I’m thinkin’ it’s high time a man shut you up in a way you found acceptable.”

He kissed her again and her chest lifted, her nipples tightening as heat pulled in her stomach and a strange pressure set her insides on fire.

“No,” she mumbled as his hand slowly rubbed higher on her thigh. Pulling back as that hand steadily crept to a place she strongly considered off limits to others, she did the first thing she could manage and smacked him across the jaw.

The sharp slap left the car in dark silence. Quietly, he chuckled. “You really are something.”

“I told you,” she said, out of breath. “You’ll need to be a gentleman to get your lips on me. Buyin’ me dinner doesn’t prove shit.”

The side of his mouth kicked up in a half-smirk. “You sure got a mouth on you, woman.”

She liked being called woman, considering she was only seventeen. “And wouldn’t you like to see all the things it can do.”

His half-smirk turned into a full smile as he laughed. “Well, look at you. You’re tongues as sharp as mine is silver. You better be gettin’ home before real trouble finds you. Tomorrow’s a big day.”

That was right. Tomorrow she was graduating. Funny how such a monumental achievement paled in comparison to being kissed by Frank McCullough.

“Good night, love,” he said, cracking open the door.

“Frank?” He stilled and she took a second to process her sudden insecurities.

He paused, still facing the door. “Yes, Maureen?”

“The kiss… did I do it okay?”

His head tilted as he again faced her. “Have you not been kissed before?”

“Never like that,” she whispered, her fingers tracing where his mouth had been.

He slid back inside the car and turned to the windshield, pulling his lower lip in for a taste. A quiet chuckle escaped, but he didn’t seem amused. “You’re that innocent then?”

“Never mind,” she immediately said, wishing she’d never opened her mouth—for anything.

“No, it’s fine. I shouldn’t have assumed…” he shook his head. “A gentleman indeed.” He laughed. “I’m sorry I came on so strong, love, but when I’m around you, I lose sight of right and wrong and all I can tell is that I want you.”

Her eyes widened as she choked on her words. “Me?” That couldn’t be right.

His gaze turned on her, his eyes appearing almost pained. “Aye, you. I think you’re bonny, smart, funny, and I think about you naked every day.”

“Frank!”

“Sorry, but it’s true. Your curves enchant me.”

Was that how men and women spoke to one another? “I’ve never been naked in front of anyone but my mum and my sisters.”

A smirk pulled the corner of his mouth tight. “We could remedy that.”

She smacked his arm. “Don’t be a pig.”

“I have a healthy appetite for beautiful women, love. There’s nothin’ wrong with that.”

“Aye, well if your wantin’ this woman you’ll lose your taste for all others, do you understand?”

“Aye.”

They were silent for several minutes. She fidgeted as she waited for him to say more, but he didn’t. Finally, she broke the silence. “What does this mean, Frank? People will talk if they see us together.”

“It means I like you.”

“Like me? Why?”

He shrugged and pointed to his chest. “It’s here, in the way my chest gets tight at just the sight of you and I want to hold you fast, but never feel like we have enough time.”

“Oh.” That was rather sweet and more poetic than she’d expected. “Are you saying we’re…”

“I want you to be mine for more than a minute.”

Lots of things were longer than minutes but still quite short. “Are you askin’ to date me? I’m not trying to be thick headed, but I’ve never much dated and…”

“Aye. I’m wantin’ you to be mine, Maureen O’Leahy. Mine and only mine.”

Liquid heat swirled in her belly as her veins pulsed with excitement. “I can’t let my parents know.”

“It’s no one’s business.”

Insecurity made it difficult to look in his direction. She didn’t want to say the wrong thing and sound foolish. “I…I never much dated,” she repeated.

“Me neither.”

She laughed, still finding that hard to believe. A thought occurred to her and she frowned. “I’ll not have you hitting on other girls if you want to be with me.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it.”

His gentle tone retrieved a bit of her courage. “And I’m not easy. I’m not promising you a thing, if you get what I mean.”

“Aye. It’ll keep.”

Shooting him a sidelong glance, she snickered. “You seem certain I’m keepin’ it for you.”

“You are,” he said with palpable cockiness.

Her mouth gaped at his surety. “There’s something wrong with you.”

“To be sure, but I speak the truth. I’ll have you, Maureen O’Leahey, make no mistake of that. I’ll be a gentleman for you, as you’re deserving of such, but make no mistake, I’m a man and I will not deny what I want no matter how long you deny me from gettin’ it.”
